Shower Glass Installation in Newmarket

A shower curtain hides the best part of the room and cuts a small bathroom in two. Clear glass does the opposite: light reaches the back of the shower, the tile wall becomes part of the room and the bathroom looks bigger than it is.

Our projects in Georgina and Markham both started with a shower curtain and ended with a walk-in shower behind glass. It is one of the most noticeable changes you can make to a bathroom.

Frameless glass has no metal frame around the panels. It is held by hinges and clips, so all you see is the glass and the tile behind it. It suits walk-in showers and clean, modern bathrooms.

Framed glass has a slim frame around the panels. A black frame, like the walk-in shower in our Markham project, gives the room a strong, graphic line. Sliding doors glide along a track instead of swinging out, which helps where there is not enough room for a door to open, such as over a tub or in a narrow bathroom.

A single fixed glass panel is another option, with no door at all, like the tub with a glass panel in our Leaside project in Toronto.

Very few showers are a standard size. Walls are rarely perfectly straight, tile adds thickness, and niches and benches change the shape. That is why we install custom-size glass, measured to your finished shower, so the panels fit the space properly instead of leaving uneven gaps. Glass that is forced into a space it was not made for is how you end up with water at the edges and a door that never closes quite right.

The hinges, handles and clips are part of the look too. We install fixtures in custom colours, so the glass hardware can match your faucet, your shower head and the rest of the room.

Glass is the last thing to go into a shower, and it only looks as good as the work behind it.
